A strong team - including among others the City of Leipzig (Germany), Wiener Linien (public transport operator of VIenna, Austria), BKK (public transport authority of Budapest, Hungary), as well as Gdynia trolleybus operator PKT (Poland) and PMDP from Pilsen (Czech Republic) - explores possibilities by pilots on e.g. renewable energy integration into metro stations amd trolley depots, upgrading a substation for multipurpose use, as well as testing new buffer storage technologies.
Nine Central European cities, selected via an open application procedure, will have the opportunity to join the EfficienCE User Forum and benefit from a knowledge exchange process including workshops and site visit to pilot cities.
